Not only is it very lucrative for them but one of the reason it is, is because it is cheap to produce and simple to do. You might be surprised to know that it is not as expensive to make perfume as you may think and not that long. Who knows, you may even be able to put your brand in stores or sell them over on internet.
The question remains, how do you make perfume?
If you do decide to create perfume, it is a very good idea to know how to do it or what composes perfume. The secret ingredients are: water, essential oils and pure grain alcohol. An example of the alcohol can be Vodka. However, you should concentrate on the essential oils when you create your perfume. The reason is that the creation of perfumes is based on that.
Number one priority when you start is to sort the oils. Essential oils vary in weight. This is why it is so important, because every scent has a specification. Oils are sorted depending on their notes. So far it is simple, essential oils equal notes. The top notes includes: lemon, orange, grapefruit, peppermint, spearmint, bergamot, and finally lime. In the middle you have the rose, coriander, basil, marjoram, palmarosa,, rosemary, geranium, lavender and pettitgrain. Lastly you have the lower notes that contain cedarwood, patchouli, sandalwood, vetiver and frankincense.
All right, now this has taken care of the basic notes. The next step in creating perfume is to get the right proportion of water and alcohol and essential oils. The basic formula is usually the following: essential oil usually composes 15 to 30 percent of the mix, alcohol contains 70 to 80 percent and finally you have water that balances the rest of it. For the water, a nice little bottle of spring water or any other bottle that is filled with distilled water. Lastly the best of the best in alcohol is real Vodka. The purer it is the better. A nice substitute is brandy. Want to make your perfume even more special? Just use a simple food colorant.
As much as knowledge of the ingredients is vital, this one information is crucial. If you want to scrap your perfume, don’t bother with sunlight. It is important to make sure that the bottles are not clear when you bottle it and that you do sterilize the bottles. Since it is your creation it is your decision. If your last choice is in a clear bottle, separate your perfume. Place it in a different container.
If you do want to keep producing your perfume, take notes so that you do not make a mistake the next time around! Remember that if a single thing changes in the recipe, it will be a totally new perfume.
